A
prime example of HYMER’s innovative and trend-setting technology
is the double floor of the Hymer C-Class GT and Hymermobil B-Class
models. This system is based on a special AL-KO low-frame chassis
and an insulated, heated underfloor stowage space.
- Generous
stowage space side openings with long-cargo channel behind fresh-water
tank.
-
On-board technical equipment housed in double floor for frost
protection.
- Enlarged
rear stowage spaces and garages thanks to modified axle suspension.
- Low
tank installation positions to ensure low centre of gravity
and maximise driving stability.
- Total
height of vehicles only 285 to 300 cm depending on model.
- Floor
- including driver’s cab - on one level.
Only 1 cm less clearance than the conventional Fiat chassis.
- AL-KO
special low-frame chassis, certified in Germany for 3500 kg
or 3900 kg total mass for higher payloads.
- Underfloor
stowage spaces 204 mm high and heatable via a hot-air circulation
system which also warms the fresh water and waste water tank
plus piping.
- Waste
water valves are frost-protected and housed in the rear stowage
space.
- Tanks
and water pump easily accessible for cleaning and inspection
from interior via floor traps.
- Maintenance-free
stowage space doors mounted on rubber hinges with secure double
lock for single-hand operation.
The
HYMER frame is produced using HYMER-PUAL technology for great stability
and long lifetime.
PUAL
structural elements, e.g. walls and roofs, are cast in one piece,
which gives them an extremely high loading capacity; they are also
absolutely waterproof thanks to the closed-pore PU foam. The excellent
insulation of the PU foam makes for a cool home in summer and a
cosy retreat in winter time. The stove-enamelled aluminium shell
is completely UV-resistant and has an easycare, mirror-finish surface.
HYMER was the first manufacturer to comply to the GS quality and
safety standards, and the first motor home manufacturer to be certified
according to the comprehensive quality inspection system ISO 9001.
We were also the first – over 15 years ago - to offer a 6-year
guarantee against water ingress.
Tried and tested seat belt anchors for your personal safety. In
the living area, there are 3-point belts in the central seating
units, which, in combination with the height-adjustable head rests,
offer a high level of passive safety. The outer bodywork is characterised
by high-quality aerodynamic fibreglass parts.
The window frames are flush mounted in the side wall (except in
the B-Classic, C-Class and T-Class) and serve, in combination with
the smooth aluminium skirting at the lower side edge, to further
enhance the aerodynamics.
As an additional convenience feature, there is an easy single-lever
central locking system on living room windows (except C-Class, B-Classic).
Above the entrance door with the moulded inner panel is an awning
light with a rain shield. All cables inside the vehicle are laid
in safety cable ducts. An electronically controlled charging station
ensures an adequate supply of energy. The chassis on most models
is suitable for mounting a motorcycle rack or tow bar.
